Debbie Kindon
Hello and congratulations on taking that first brave step into seeking counselling.

Sometimes life throws us a curveball and you may feel like life is not working out the way you hoped for. This could be because of a recent issue or sometimes you may feel that life hasn’t gone the way you’d like for a long time. The coronavirus also has had an enormous impact on how we live our lives and as we adjust to the new ‘normal’ we might experience stress, anxiety or maybe just feeling that you are finding it difficult to cope.
I am an integrative counsellor which means I am qualified with a range of techniques to help find, explore, develop and support you with your struggles in life. I won’t provide you with solutions, but I can help guide you and walk with you whilst you make that decision that you know is right for you. I can help you deal with or change life in a way that you feel comfortable doing it. I will never force you or expect you do as I ask, but I may offer suggestions that maybe you might want to try.
I offer you a safe, non-judgemental, confidential space to talk through your issues. I offer a range of techniques from person centred counselling, psychodynamic counselling, CBT or I may offer other creative ways to explore your issues.
I have 20 years’ experience of working with adolescents in a teaching environment and have also experience of counselling adolescents, those whose lives have been touched by Cancer and Bereavement and Loss. I have experience of counselling clients in a work environment so understand the stress of both work and home life.
I offer face-to-face, online and telephone counselling which offer compassion, acceptance and healing. I will work hard to meet your needs adapting my techniques to suit you as an individual.

Hello and welcome to our website.
Here at Positive Mindset Counselling we understand that we can all have times in our lives when things get difficult, emotions overrun, resentments reside and anger builds, what was once a small frustration can build to be major cause of stress and anxiety.
This in turn can induce behaviours, addictions, and changes to our personality and identity until we don’t recognise ourselves anymore. If you are finding it hard to cope, want to understand yourself better and move to a more positive you, come and talk to us.
Whether it be a bereavement or pre-bereavement situation that is causing you upset and distress, an eating disorder which is taking over your life, a relationship problem or addiction, we work with a range of difficulties and issues and are here to listen to you in a confidential and compassionate environment.
We can offer a warm, friendly and safe space to explore your difficulties, where you will be listened to and heard, in an atmosphere of non-judgmental respect for the person you are and the one you want to be.
I am a qualified Integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, trained in both talking and creative therapy techniques, such as Person-Centred Therapy, C.B.T. psychodynamic therapy and compassion focused therapy, which enables me to tailor my support to you as a unique individual.
I have worked within a hospice as a bereavement counsellor, and currently volunteer with a bereavement charity. Have worked with a national charity to support vulnerable women and families. Currently I work with a national solvent abuse charity, as a workplace counsellor for a major food production company and in my private practice at Eccleshall, Staffordshire supporting my private clients with a range of difficulties.
I offer face-to-face, telephone and online sessions.
